What we install

Rooflines, trees and the front entry

Most of what people notice from the street is three things: the line of the roof, the trees in the front yard and the door you walk up to. We light all three, and we design them to read together rather than as three separate ideas.

Each one is measured on the same visit. The roofline decides how much wire the house takes, the trees decide whether the property has any depth after dark, and the entry is the part your guests stand under while somebody finds the door key. Every run is cut to those measurements on your driveway, with professional grade bulbs and wiring rather than a set that came off a shelf in a fixed length.

The Jingle & Glow standard

Every strand is cut to length at your house

A store bought set comes in one length and your roof does not. That is why so many displays end three feet short of the corner or leave a loop of extra wire swinging off the gutter. We measure your runs, cut each one on site, and test the whole display before we leave the driveway.

What it looks like

Warm white on a house after dark

Warm white is what most houses in Hamilton County run, and it is what suits brick and stone elevations best. Color is available where you want it, and we will tell you honestly which one is going to look better on your own facade.

Taylor and Tanner photograph every install they finish, so this page turns over to their own work through the season. Until then these are lit homes of the kind we design for, chosen because they show what a measured, evenly spaced run actually looks like from the street.

Permanent lighting

Permanent lighting, mounted once

Permanent lighting is mounted into the eave once and stays there. It runs warm white for most of the year and switches to color for a holiday or a game day, which means nobody is on a ladder in December.

It suits a two story house with steep peaks more than it suits a ranch, because that is the house where the yearly install and takedown cost the most. Ask about it when you request your estimate and we will show you the system on your own eave line.

Who you are dealing with

An owner measures your house himself

We aim to serve and better our community. An owner takes your call and comes out to measure the house, and our own crews do the installing.

An owner calls you back

Send the form and you hear from an owner, not a call center in another state.

The proposal happens at your house

Photos, measurements and the design, presented on site so you can see what you are buying.

Our own crews hang it

The design an owner measured is installed by our crews, who do this work every day of the season.

How it works

How our Christmas light installation works

There are four steps and none of them are a surprise. You tell us where you live, we come and measure, you see the design and the price at your own kitchen table, and then we hang it.

The reason it runs this way is that a roofline cannot be priced from a photograph. Two houses on the same street in Westfield with the same footprint can need very different amounts of wire, because one has dormers and the other has a single ridge. Season long maintenance and the January takedown are inside the number you see, so there is nothing left to agree after you say yes.

Where we work

Every town we light in Hamilton County

We are based in Sheridan, which puts most of Hamilton County inside half an hour. We light homes and businesses from Zionsville across to Fortville, and we go as far south as the north side of Indianapolis. Every town we serve has its own page, with the streets, the drive times and the work we have done there.

Questions

Christmas light installation questions

The four we hear on nearly every call, answered the way we would answer them on the phone.

What does Christmas light installation cost in Hamilton County?

Every house is priced from its own measurements, so there is no list price to quote here. We come out, measure the roofline, the peaks, the trees and the entry, and put the number in front of you at your house before you decide anything.

What sets the number is the length of the runs, the height of the peaks and how much of the property you want lit. A single roofline on a ranch in Whitestown and a full display on a two story in Carmel are different jobs.

Do you take the lights down in January?

Yes. Takedown in January is part of the job, not an add on. We pull every strand and clip, check the run for damage and leave the roofline the way we found it.

If you would rather not keep boxes in the garage until next November, we store your set in our facility and bring the same set back next season.

Do you use my lights or yours?

Ours. We do not hang lights a customer already owns. Every display we install uses our own professional grade bulbs and wiring, leased to you for the season and cut to length for your house.

That is what lets us stand behind the display. Store bought sets come in fixed lengths, which is why they end halfway across a gable or leave a loop of wire swinging off the gutter, and we cannot maintain a set we did not build or replace a bulb we do not carry.

How far ahead should I book?

Book in September or October if you want a choice of install dates. Installs run from the start of November through the middle of December.

Booking early also means the measuring visit happens in decent weather, which makes for a better design than a walk around in the dark and the cold.
