Jingle & Glow Co installs Christmas lights on houses across Hamilton County, Indiana, from Sheridan down to Carmel.

The work starts with a visit. One of the owners comes to your house with a camera and a tape, photographs the front elevation, and measures the roofline, the peaks, the trees you want lit and the entry. That is the only way to know how much wire a house takes, and it is why the proposal comes to you at your kitchen table rather than over the phone.

On install day the strands are cut to those measurements in your driveway. A run that is cut to length sits tight against the fascia with no loop of spare wire tucked behind the gutter and no gap where the roof turns a corner. Every clip is spaced by hand, the whole display is switched on and checked before we leave, and the wire is routed so you are not looking at it from the street.

What is included

What a residential install includes

Rooflines and peaks

Every eave, gable and dormer you want lit, measured and cut to fit, clipped at even spacing with the wire hidden behind the line of the gutter.

Trees and shrubs

Trunk wraps, canopy lighting and shrub washes, which is what gives the front of a property depth instead of one bright line across the roof.

Garland, wreaths and columns

Lit garland over the door, wreaths on the windows and wrapped columns at the entry, so the part your guests stand under is finished too.

Season long maintenance

A bulb goes out or a clip lets go in a January wind and we come back and fix it. It is part of the price, not a service call.

Takedown and storage

Everything comes off the house in January. If you would rather not store boxes until next November, your set stays in our facility.

Step by step

How a residential install runs

01

Your message

Send the form or call. An owner calls you back and asks what you are picturing and roughly how much of the house you want lit.

02

The measuring visit

We set a time, photograph the elevation and measure every run. It is a short visit outside and you do not need to stand in it.

03

The proposal, at your house

You see the design and the price at your own table. Nothing is ordered and nothing is cut until you say yes.

04

Install day

Cut to length in the driveway, clipped, routed and tested before we leave.

05

The season, then January

We maintain the display while it is up and take it down in January, and we leave the roofline the way we found it.

Where we do this work

Towns we serve

We are based in Sheridan and we light homes and businesses across Hamilton County and into Boone and Hancock. Pick your town to see what the work looks like there.

Questions

Questions about this work

How long does a Christmas light installation take?

A ranch with one clean roofline and a two story with dormers, wrapped trees and a lit entry are very different amounts of work. The design tells you which one your house is before install day rather than after it.

The measuring visit happens weeks earlier, so nothing is being worked out on the day. The crew arrives with the design and cuts to it.

Can you light a two story house?

Yes. Peaks, dormers and second story gables are normal work and they are the runs that make the biggest difference from the street.

Height is one of the things measured on the first visit, because it changes the access and the time, and both of those are in the number you see.

What happens if a bulb goes out in December?

Call or text and we come out. Season long maintenance is included, so a dark run or a clip that let go in the wind is our problem, not a bill.

This is the main practical difference between a professional install and a set from a big box store, where a dead section in the middle of December is a ladder and an afternoon of your own time.

Do you hang lights I already own?

No. We install our own professional grade bulbs and wiring, leased to you for the season and cut for your house. Store sets come in fixed lengths that rarely match a roofline, and their wire is not built to sit outside through an Indiana January.

Because the strands are cut for your measurements they go back the same way every year. The set stays ours, which is what lets us maintain it through the season and replace a bulb from our own stock rather than sending you to a shop.
