Christmas light installation in Noblesville, Indiana
Noblesville is the county seat, and the split between the old houses around the courthouse square and the newer water side neighborhoods gives it the most varied housing stock in the county.

Jingle & Glow Co installs Christmas lights and outdoor lighting in Noblesville, on the historic houses near the courthouse square and on the larger properties out toward Morse Reservoir.
The streets around the square have Victorian and early century houses with brackets, turrets and porches, and they take light beautifully but never in a standard length. Out toward Morse Reservoir the houses are newer and larger, and the lighting question is usually the whole property rather than the roofline alone.
Noblesville splits our method in two. Around the square we are choosing clips for hundred year old trim and lighting detail that was built to be looked at. Out by the water we are planning a whole property, and the drive and the trees usually take more wire than the house does. You can read the whole sequence on our how it works page.
Whether it is a turret on the square or a lake side gable, the strands are cut to length on site from professional grade bulbs and wiring. Season long maintenance is included through the whole display, and everything comes off the house in January.
Both start the same way, with one of the owners on the property with a camera and a tape before anything is priced. Town information, including anything your own neighborhood publishes about exterior decoration, is on the City of Noblesville site.

Porch, rail and door together, which is how an older house near the square is lit.
What lighting in Noblesville needs
Historic houses near the square
Detail is the reason to light these houses and the reason nothing off a shelf fits them.
Morse Reservoir homes
Larger properties where the drive, the trees and the water side of the house all matter, not only the front elevation.
Downtown storefronts
Frontages on and around the square are seen on foot as well as from a car, so they are lit at a different scale.
Getting to Noblesville from Sheridan
About twenty five minutes east of the shop. Noblesville is far enough across the county that we group work here, and close enough that a dark run gets seen quickly.
Questions from Noblesville
Do you light historic houses downtown?
Yes, and they are some of the most rewarding work in the county. Brackets, turrets, porch roofs and rails all take light.
Everything is measured and cut on site, and the clips are chosen for the trim that is actually on the house rather than for a standard gutter.
Do you work on the Morse Reservoir side?
Yes. Those properties are usually larger and the design covers more than the roofline: the drive, the trees and often the side of the house that faces the water.
Access is worth checking on the first visit, because some of those lots are steep at the back.
Can you light a storefront on the square?
Yes. A frontage on the square is seen on foot as well as from a car, so it is lit at a closer scale: window lines, the door and the awning rather than one big gesture.
Installs are scheduled before opening so the sidewalk is clear.
How far ahead do Noblesville jobs book?
September and October, ahead of the season. That puts the measuring visit in daylight and settles the design before installs start at the beginning of November.
Booking early also means the measuring visit happens in reasonable weather.
