Christmas light installation questions
What it costs, what is in the price, when we install, when it comes down and what happens if a bulb goes out.

These are the questions people ask us before they book, answered the way we would answer them on the phone.
Most of them come back to the same thing, which is that a holiday lighting price cannot be quoted off a website. A ranch with one clean roofline in Fortville and a two story with dormers and wrapped trees in Carmel are different amounts of wire, different access and different time on the ladder. That is why the measuring visit exists and why nothing here carries a starting from number.
The rest of it is about what happens after the lights are up, which is the part people usually find out about too late. Maintenance through the season and takedown in January are in the price, not sold separately, and the person who comes out to fix a dark run is one of the two owners.

Christmas light installation questions
How much does Christmas light installation cost?
Every house is priced from its own measurements, so there is no list price on this site and no square foot rule that would be honest. What sets the number is the length of the runs, the height of the peaks and how much of the property you want lit.
One of the owners measures your house and presents the price there, before anything is ordered or cut. A single roofline on a ranch in Whitestown and a full display on a two story in Carmel are different jobs and different numbers.
What is included in the price?
The design, the professional grade bulbs and wiring, the install, season long maintenance while the display is up, and takedown in January.
Storage in our facility is available if you would rather not keep boxes in the garage for eleven months.
When do you install?
Installs run from the start of November through the middle of December.
Book in September or October if you want a choice of install dates, and so the measuring visit happens in daylight rather than in the dark and the cold.
When do the lights come down?
January. Takedown is part of the job and it is already in the price you agreed.
We pull every strand and clip, check the set for damage, and leave the roofline the way we found it.
Do you use my lights or your own?
Ours, and we do not hang lights a customer already owns. We install professional grade bulbs and wiring, leased to you for the season and cut to length for your house. Store sets come in fixed lengths that rarely match a roofline, and their wire is not built for an Indiana January.
Because your strands are cut to your measurements they go back the same way every year. The set stays ours, which is what lets us maintain it through the season and replace a bulb from our own stock rather than sending you to a shop.
What color lights do you install?
Warm white is what most houses in this county run, and it is what suits brick and stone elevations best. Color is available where you want it.
We will tell you honestly which one is going to look better on your house, and it depends more on the material of the facade than on taste.
Do you light trees as well as rooflines?
Yes. Trunk wraps, canopy lighting and shrub washes are a large part of the work and they are what gives a front yard depth instead of one line across the roof.
On a mature tree, uplighting from the ground often beats wrapping. We will say which one your tree wants.
What happens if something stops working?
Call or text the same number and one of the owners comes out. Season long maintenance is included in the price.
How fast we get there depends on where you are. Sheridan and Westfield are the shortest drives we make. McCordsville and Fortville are scheduled rather than same day, and we say that up front rather than after you have paid.
Do you install on commercial buildings?
Yes. HOA entrances and monuments, offices, storefronts and community buildings, installed around the hours you keep.
Commercial work is quoted for the season, with one point of contact.
What is permanent lighting?
Fixtures mounted into the eave of the house and left there all year. Warm white most of the time, color when you want it, controlled from your phone.
It means no install in November and no takedown in January, which is the whole argument on a two story house with steep peaks.
Do you work outside Hamilton County?
Yes. Zionsville and Whitestown are in Boone County, and McCordsville and Fortville are in Hancock. If your town is not listed, call and ask.
You will get a straight answer about whether we can serve you properly rather than a yes we cannot keep.
How do I get an estimate?
Send the form or call or text the number at the top of this page. An owner calls you back, asks about the house, and sets a time to come out and measure.
The proposal is presented at your house, and nothing is ordered until you say yes.

Still have a question?
Call or text and you will speak to an owner rather than a call center.
