Jingle & Glow Co installs Christmas lights and outdoor lighting on Carmel homes, from the Village of WestClay across to Brookshire and the streets off Main.
From the Village of WestClay through Brookshire and the streets off Main, Carmel has the county's biggest houses and its most mature trees, and both change the work. A large brick elevation needs the runs planned so the roofline reads as one continuous line, and a forty year old oak in the front yard is usually the best thing on the property to light.
On the larger Carmel elevations the measuring visit takes longer, because a single house can carry six or seven separate runs that all have to read as one line from the street. That planning happens on paper before a single strand is cut. You can read the whole sequence on our how it works page.
On an elevation this size the difference is in the wire: professional grade bulbs and wiring, cut to length on site so a run does not stop three feet short of a corner. Season long maintenance is included and takedown happens in January.
On a house this size the design is worth settling in September or October, while the oaks and maples still have their leaves and the walk around happens in daylight rather than in the dark. Town information, including anything your own neighborhood publishes about exterior decoration, is on the City of Carmel site.

A lit portico. On a large Carmel elevation the entry has to hold its own against the roofline.
What lighting in Carmel needs
Large elevations
Long rooflines and multiple peaks have to be planned as one line rather than as separate runs, or the front of the house looks assembled.
Mature trees
Carmel's older neighborhoods have the trees that make uplighting and full trunk wraps worth the money.
Design standards
Several Carmel neighborhoods have their own rules about what goes on the outside of a house, and we work inside them rather than around them.
Getting to Carmel from Sheridan
About twenty five minutes south of the shop. We are in Carmel regularly through the season, so a maintenance call here is a normal part of the week rather than a special trip.
Questions from Carmel
Do you work in Village of WestClay and Brookshire?
Yes, both, and the neighborhoods around them. They are different jobs: WestClay has tighter frontages and a lot of architectural detail, and Brookshire has the mature trees.
Either way the design starts from what the house looks like from the street rather than from a package.
Our neighborhood has rules about exterior decoration. Is that a problem?
No. Several Carmel neighborhoods set standards for what goes on the outside of a house, and a warm white roofline install almost always sits comfortably inside them.
If your association has something specific in writing, send it with your estimate request and we will design to it.
Can you light a large oak in the front yard?
Yes. On a mature oak, uplighting from two positions off center usually beats wrapping, because it gives the tree shape rather than an outline.
Full trunk and limb wraps are worth it on a specimen tree that you want to be the feature of the front yard.
How far is Carmel from your shop?
About twenty five minutes from Sheridan, straight down the 31 corridor.
